Hi My name is Danielle (Dani) DuDash! This is my fourth year as a Speech Language Pathologist and I am loving it. I received my Bachelors of Science and Masters of Science in Speech Language Pathology at Sacramento State. While studying for my degree, I started working in the special education field by providing behavior therapy to students with Autism. After graduating I began working in Twin Rivers. I have worked providing speech therapy to preschool age student all the way to high school students.
At home I enjoy cooking Peruvian dishes passed down from my grandmother, salsa dancing, and playing with my two cute kitties, Leo and Moxie. I love traveling with my husband, and relaxing on the beach with a good book. My favorite books are Carly's Voice and the Harry Potter series.
I also strongly believe that language opportunities surround us. Everyday activities and routines are wonderful times to model and practice language use. One of my favorite things to do is collect fun and engaging toys and plan new and innovate ways to incorporate and target language during play.
“Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood.” Fred Rogers
I am excited to begin my 9th year as the School Psychologist at Pioneer School. I obtained my Bachelors in Communication and Psychology at University of California, Santa Barbara and my Masters and Education Specialist degree in School Psychology from California State University, Sacramento. Prior to joining Twin Rivers, I worked in Dixon Unified School District. I collaborate with both school staff and families in developing plans that offer educational supports and/or services necessary for students to be successful in school. In my free time, I enjoy traveling and running non-stop after my daughters.
