ALEXANDRA ANDERSON (TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN)

Ms. Anderson
Hello! My name is Ally Anderson and I’m so excited to be teaching TK at Pioneer this year. This will be my 5th year as a TK teacher. I have grown up in all things Child Development and have a passion for Play-Based Learning. When I am not in the classroom, I am busy being an auntie or another passion of mine creating fun, hands-on learning activities for my students. I love all things Disney and Unicorns and you will almost always see sparkles on my shoes. I can’t wait to meet all of you and I’m looking forward to a wonderful 2023-2024 school year!

Kelsey Costello (Kindergarten)

Kelsey Costello (Kindergarten)

Hello, my name is Kelsey Costello. I was born and raised in Sacramento (and continue to live here!). I went to college at CSU Sacramento - go Hornets!  I have a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in leadership. This will be my first year teaching kindergarten, but I have taught grades from preschool through high school (in high school I taught math!). This will be my 8th year teaching at Pioneer Elementary!

I have been married to my husband, Brendan, for 10 years. We have an intelligent and beautiful son, Oliver, and 2 fun dogs named Jak and Dash (these names come from the Disney movie The Incredibles). This family loves Disney and traveling the world. We have been to three continents so far and hope to visit all of them and see hundreds more countries.

This school year, 2023-2024, every student in my classroom will have their own Chromebook to use. We will be learning and using a lot of technology tools in order to create 21st century learners! We will also be outside frequently to learn about the world around us, including learning agricultural skills. In this class, we eat what we grow! We share with others when our harvest is bountiful.

I am looking forward to teaching all of my happy campers! Your child will be in a safe, caring, and fun classroom this year. I cannot wait to have a fun year and make lasting memories all in the love of learning!

Hello, I'm Robin Nahhas. I have lived in Sacramento for 30 years. I grew up in Modesto, California. I went to college at CSU Northridge in Los Angeles. This will be my 29th year teaching in the Rio Linda and Twin Rivers Unified School District. I have taught every grade from kindergarten to 6th grade. This will be my 9th year teaching at Pioneer Elementary, and I am so lucky to be working at this wonderful school!

I have been married to my husband, Jay, for almost 16 years. We have 2 sweet dogs named Rocco and Murphy. I adore them, however, they are very naughty, and my students will hear a lot of stories about them throughout the year.

I have a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in technology. Every student in my classroom will have their own Chromebook to use this year. We will be using a lot of technology tools in order to create 21st century learners!

I am truly looking forward to teaching all of my amazing kindergartners! I believe that every child can learn and has the right to a safe and caring classroom. I think this is going to be great year full of fun and learning!
